User Studies - Contextual Inquiry

Overview
The purpose of this study is to conduct a contextual inquiry and to understand affinity mapping tools as one of the qualitative research methods. Our exploratory study reports results of an inquiry into the usage and requirements of physical wallets in the digital age. The study combines field observations and semi-structured interviews.

We first took our time reading the research already done on the current topic, then we brainstormed the possible ways of conducting the research. Our goal was to start by dividing the users into age groups and take interviews. After taking interviews, we analyzed them. An affinity map was created to make us understand more about the patterns, opportunities, likes and dislikes of the users. And finally, we came up with design insights.
